AbstractThe dehydrogenation of 2-picolyl alcohol was carried out over modified and unmodified amorphous/crystalline silico-aluminophosphate catalysts. The silico-aluminophosphates are mild and selective oxidation catalysts. The best catalytic performance is shown by Sb-K-SAPO (DPA) with the formation of 81.9% pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde. Pyridine and 2-picoline were also observed as byproducts.
